By appointmentThe WRRB (Warehouse Receipt Regulator Board) System is an online platform that streamlines warehouse licensing, inspection, and certification processes in Tanzania. It allows operators to register warehouses, apply for licenses, schedule inspections, and receive digital certificates.
The system is designed for warehouse operators, inspectors, licensing officers, directors, and administrators. Each role has specific permissions and access levels within the system.
To apply for a warehouse license: 1) Register as an operator, 2) Log in to your account, 3) Navigate to "Applications" and click "New Application", 4) Fill in the required information, 5) Upload supporting documents, 6) Submit your application and pay the required fees.
The application process typically takes 1-3 weeks, depending on the completeness of your application, availability of inspectors, and the complexity of the warehouse inspection. You can track the status of your application in real-time.
You will need: Business Registration Certificate (BRELA), TIN Certificate (TRA), NIDA ID, Insurance Policy (Fire, Theft, Fidelity), Warehouse ownership documents, and any relevant certificates for equipment (weighing scales, humidity meters).
After your application is approved, an inspector will be assigned to your application. The inspection date will be scheduled and communicated to you through the system and email notifications.
During the inspection, the inspector will evaluate your warehouse against compliance checklists covering: Weighing Equipment, Loading/Unloading Facilities, Fire Safety, Security Systems, Drainage, Ventilation, Storage Capacity, and other requirements.
A minimum compliance score of 80% is required to pass the inspection. Grades are assigned as follows: A (Excellent - 80%+), B (Good - 70-79%), C (Fair - 60-69%), REJECT (Below 60%).
After passing the inspection, your application will be forwarded to the Director. The Director will generate, sign, and stamp your certificate. You will receive a notification when your certificate is ready for download.
You can verify a certificate by going to the "Verify Certificate" page and entering the certificate number. You can also scan the QR code on the certificate using your phone's camera.
A renewal certificate is issued when a license expires and the operator applies for renewal. The renewal process requires a new inspection and payment of renewal fees. The license number is preserved during renewal.
Fees include: Application Fee (Tsh 20,000), License Fee (Tsh 100,000 - 500,000 depending on grade), Inspection Fee (Tsh 150,000), Renewal Fee (Tsh 250,000), and Performance Bond (Tsh 2,000,000 refundable).
We accept payments through: M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa, Halotel, CRDB Bank, NMB Bank, and other banks. You will receive a control number after application submission.
If you are having trouble logging in: 1) Ensure you are using the correct username and password, 2) Click "Forgot Password" to reset your password, 3) Clear your browser cache and cookies, 4) Try using a different browser or device. If the problem persists, contact our support team.
